AA Dipl. ARCHITECT (RIBA 2)

Born 1985, Boston, Massachusetts. Studied BSc Architecture at University of East London (2003 – 2007), completing his RIBA 1. Gained his RIBA Part 2 after studying at Intermediate and Diploma Schools of the Architectural Association (AA) School of Architecture (2008 – 2012). Worked at Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), Rotterdam (2007 – 2008). Dubai (2015-2016) and New York offices (2021- ) Aras moved to Los Angeles in 2013 and worked at Dan Brunn Architects. Worked on James Jean’s House before moving to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates for joining back to Office for Metropolitan Architecture (2015 – 2016). Worked on some of the firm’s key projects in the region, like Education City Headquarters in Doha in the team led by Ellen van Loon, Kunle Adeyemi, and Concrete in Alserkal in the team led by Iyad Alsaka, Kaveh Dabiri. Nominated for MoMA Young Architect Program in Istanbul in 2017 and Shortlisted for Young Architect of the Year for Middle East 2018 by Architect Magazine in 2018. Currently works for OMA, New York, and continues a non-profit engagement with the Building Office production.
